Guy Voyer DO, one of the innovators from the complexity paradigm gave us Myofascial Stretching and L.O.A.D.S.

The advanced biomechanics behind MFS and LOADS exercises (ELDOA in french) allow us to localize and release the excess tensions that disorganize the body, reduce performance and predispose to injury and sickness.

What’s new?
Myofascial Stretching (MFS) positions consider all the functions of the muscle, the direction of the muscles fibers, the envelopes of the muscle and the functional chain it belongs to.

Longitudinal osteo-articular decoaptative stretches (LOADS or ELDOA) are active postures that use these myofascial chains to produce a decompression of the joint. There is a different posture for every vertebral level and every major joint of the body.

Our conventional positions and intentions for stretching were not bio-mechanically precise enough to reach the tightest fibers. This new concept does not discard any of the knowledge we have used to date; rather it adds to and reorganizes it to reflect the living complex body. Adjustments to the old ways alter the effects and results dramatically.

MFS and ELDOA are powerful self-adjusting therapeutic exercises that produce change. The therapist's role is very important. We have much to share and learn.

Complexity has a tendency of becoming more complex. The theory was created using a model with no mind, perfect posture and every muscle working the way it was built to work. This is never the case when working with live human beings who use every possible trick and strategy to seek pleasure and avoid tension.

This page is about the application of the theory, the joys and difficulties of teaching, learning and practicing Myofascial Stretching and ELDOA's. The page is bilingual; the posts are not always translated. Welcome et bienvenue.
