Mid-Century Man Furniture & Antiques 1.38

In 2013 after completing my freshman year of college, I was unable to find work during the summer. I applied to multiple places and even though I had some work experience, no one would hire me for the three months I was off of school. My parents Jim and Leslie at Love it Again Furniture, offered me a position refinishing furniture, where they taught me the ins and outs of running a business.

After two summers of working for, Love It Again Furniture by Leslie, I made the decision to branch out and start a business of my own. In the beginning, Mid-Century Man Furniture & Antiques excelled in taking reclaimed wood and turning it into unique pieces of furniture. As time went on, I started to incorporate more elements such as antiques and barn wood. With the support from, Love it Again Furniture by Leslie I was able to grow my business and social following at an accelerated rate.

In May 2016 I graduated from Keuka College, with a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication. After applying to a number of different places, I accepted a position with a company where I was being overworked and had zero work-life balance. I made the decision to leave the company after only two months and directed my focus on running Mid-Century Man Furniture & Antiques

I wouldn't have been able to do this if it weren't for the support of my family, friends and valued customers. Even though I took a risk quitting my job, I wouldn't have done it, if I didn't believe in what Mid-Century Man Furniture & Antiques can accomplish.
