Oakvillegreen Conservation Association 2.58

We are a non-profit, non-partisan environmental advocacy organization, working to ensure Oakville becomes a healthy, resilient community.

What we do:

1. Activism: We continue to protect our hard-won Natural Heritage System and remaining natural spaces in Oakville from ill-manored decision-making.

2. Advocacy: We are a strong advocate for environmental protection and the implementation of legislation that protect human health and the health of our environment. We advocate at all levels of government and sign onto international efforts (ie Zero Waste Policies).

3. Initiatives: We roll up our sleeves and make things happen (ie. Full Circle Tree Program, planting native trees at shrubs, environmental education programs, and more).

4. Consultation: Participates on various Town committees and stakeholder advisory committees. We also provide advice and support to residents' associations, schools and other citizens’ groups (more than 20 so far) around the province.

4. Education & Events: Oakvillegreen will hold a minimum of four public meetings a year, each time with a special guest speaker. As well, we sponsor film screenings and facilitated discussions. Please check our calendar of events to see what's upcoming.
