Growing up as a little boy in a traditional Greek household my mother made everything from “scratch” using only the freshest and the highest quality ingredients. When I was in my teens my father opened a Greek restaurant in North Vancouver and I started working in the kitchen learning traditional Greek cooking from his Greek chefs. They taught me to cook with the finest ingredients to create quality dishes with flavour that honoured my heritage.

Each year I looked forward to traveling to Greece to visit my “γιαγιά,” my grandma. Her home cooked meals were always the highlight of my visit. There was nothing like the freshly picked sun-ripened vegetables from her garden and from the local markets. The memories are still fresh in my mind to this day.

It has been a dream of mine to introduce to you food that is delicious, memorable, natural and healthy. I founded “O SO GREEK” to share my family’s time honoured authentic traditional recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation.

With every bite, you too, will feel like you’re in Greece in my γιαγιά (grandma’s) kitchen!
