Knotty Pine Designs 3.12

Crafter, Designer, Wife, Mom and everything else! I love cooking and baking and working on my business. I run Knotty Pine Designs out of my home in Medicine Hat, AB. I started this business after finding a love of pallet furniture. In the Spring of 2015 I completed a amazing pallet wall in our home, and then moved on to towel racks, key holders, etc.

After seeing all this amazing wood I decided that I need to paint/stain these pieces of wood, distress them and make them into these amazing unique pieces of artwork.

Where does ‘Knotty Pine’ come from, well I was looking for a unique name that someone would remember, and I just so happened to look at what type of wood I was purchasing from the lumber store, and there you have it.

Most of the signs are made from knotty pine wood, I also have a small selection of pallet boards and old fence board that will be available. I do not cover or hide the natural dents and knots in the wood as it adds character to the piece.

Each sign is either stained or painted with acrylic or latex paint. I use a high quality vinyl to either stencil the sign or top the sign with, and then complete the wooden sign with a non-yellowing top coat to ensure your sign will stay protected.
