Alec and Lynne Pinchin, the founders of Fitness Forum gym in London, ON

One stop fitness shopping. In hindsight it doesn’t seem as revolutionary as it was back in 1984 when Alec and Lynne Pinchin were visiting racquet, health and fitness clubs around the U.S. and Canada, trying to come up with the right recipe for the planned London, Ontario, club. But that often is the fate of innovators.
In August of 1985 Fitness Forum officially opened, a $3.5 million, 39,000 square foot facility. Incorporating aspects of traditional racquet clubs, aerobic studios and gyms, Fitness Forum launched a complete one stop fitness facility unique to Canada.

Fitness Forum has a proud tradition of serving Londoner’s. Since our 1985 opening we have received a number of prestigious achievements. The club was rated by the Gallup Organization, as commissioned by the International Health and Racquet Sport Association, as one of the Top 5 Fitness Clubs in North America, and the Top Fitness Club in Canada. The club has also been recognized as the White Oaks Community Business of the Year, a Finalist in the Annual London Customer Service Award, and runner up in the London Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Business of the Year Award.

The continued success of the club can be credited to a strong original facility design, management’s emphasis on customer service, and a willingness to stay on the leading edge in programming and equipment. Since our inception, Fitness Forum has spent in excess of $2.5 million in new fitness equipment and building improvements.

Fitness Forum has always had a strong affiliation with the local athletic scene. Besides sponsoring numerous minor sports teams, over the years we have been the Official Fitness Centre of the following teams:
