Fine Art Bartending is a privately owned education institute that specializes in training quality bartenders. Established in 1973, Fine Art Bartending now operates nine schools across Canada. The heart of the business is the twenty-hour professional bartending course. It provides the students everything they need to know, mostly through practical training, to succeed as a bartender. The courses are design to ensure every student has the knowledge and practical information on how to effectively find, acquire and maintain employment in the industry.

Practical course subjects such cocktail building, the production methods, and histories alcohols, customer service, and service methods make up most of the course. (Course matter expanded in Sec. 2.1) By teaching these subjects, students are able to hit the ground running when hired as a bartender.

Students are also given industry specific resume writing, job hunting, and interview advice in order to help them gain employment. It also helps the student to understand what employers are looking for when interviewing and choosing potential job candidates. Responsible service techniques and important local liquor laws are also taught in order to ensure the students are able to work within all local regulations.

Employers continue to hire Fine Art Bartending graduates because they know that they are going to get employees with more knowledge, that will require less on the job training then potential candidates without any experience or relevant education. The hands on program we developed is maintained and updated by industry professionals including bartenders, bar managers, and bar owners, making it the most relevant and up to date training program for bartenders in North America. Fine Art Bartending continues to thrive and is only a few steps away from expanding into new cities.
